Getting to Rolas is straightforward when it is organised. The southern road brings you to Porto Alegre, we are there when you arrive, the boat is ready, and you are on the water without standing around negotiating at the dock. That is the entire pitch. From there, the island does the rest.
All three options include the boat crossing from Porto Alegre, return transfer, lifejackets, and full insurance. There is safe parking at the departure point so you are not leaving the car on a roadside. The half and full day options include a guide for the Equator marker walk and Praia Bateria.
Book online, pay in advance, and we confirm the departure details directly. Departure is from Porto Alegre in the south of São Tomé. The drive from the capital takes roughly two hours, more if you stop along the way, which you should.

Rolas Transfer
You want to explore Rolas on your own terms. We take you across, drop you at the island, and come back when you are ready. No guide, no itinerary, no fixed schedule. Bring a book, find a rock, swim until you feel like leaving.
€25 for the first person. €10 for each additional person.
Rolas Half Day
A guided half day that covers the Equator marker and Praia Bateria. If the sea is rough on the beach side we walk to Bateria instead, which is worth doing regardless. Time to swim, explore and get back without losing the whole day.
€70 per person. Minimum two people.
Rolas Full Day
Everything in the half day, plus the mangrove. The full day gives you the island properly, with time to slow down rather than tick boxes. Lunch is at your discretion and we can point you to where the fish is good.
€95 per person. Minimum two people.
